What you will do:
- Independently assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with strabismus, amblyopia, binocular vision disorders, and ocular motility abnormalities.
- Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans, reviewing progress and adapting interventions as clinically required.
- Undertake specialist orthoptic assessments for paediatric, adult, neurological, and post-stroke patients within ophthalmology clinics.
- Work collaboratively with Consultant Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Nursing staff, and wider multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Degree or BSc (Hons) in Orthoptics or equivalent recognised qualification.
Registration:
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Orthoptist.
Professional Development:
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
Registration & Compliance:
- Current HCPC registration.
- Knowledge of HCPC Standards of Proficiency and Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
