What you will do:

  • Deliver ward-based pharmacy technician support.
  • Provide medicines management services on wards.
  • Conduct the accuracy checking of dispensed medications.
  • Support safe and effective medicines optimisation.
  • Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary ward teams to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Assist with medication reconciliation and supply processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy and medicines management procedures.

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified and registered Pharmacy Technician.
  • Hold an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification.
  • Have experience as a Medicines Management Technician (MMT).
  • Experience working in ward-based hospital pharmacy settings.
  • Able to function within an NHS pharmacy service.

Desirable requirements:

  • Previous experience within an NHS Trust setting.
  • Experience supporting a range of inpatient wards.
