What you will do

  • Deliver an effective and high-quality pharmacy service in Stores and Distribution.
  • Order, receive, and distribute pharmaceutical stock to wards and clinics.
  • Assist the Lead Technician - Stores and Distribution for optimal service delivery.
  • Support the planning and coordination of daily and weekly pharmacy store tasks.
  • Carry out ward top-up services efficiently.
  • Conduct expiry date checks on pharmaceutical stock.
  • Supply ambient and cold-chain medicines ensuring compliance with storage guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining robust stock control and inventory management processes.
  • Ensure the timely distribution of medicines throughout the Trust.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movement and supply.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Pharmacy Assistant.
  • Pharmacy knowledge: Familiarity with stores and distribution functions in a pharmacy setting.
  • Stock handling: Ability to effectively handle pharmaceutical stock.
  • Ward top-ups: Experience in ward top-ups.
  • Organisation: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Teamwork: Experience working collaboratively within a pharmacy team.
  • CV: A CV that meets client criteria.

Desirable Requirements

  • NHS experience: Prior NHS pharmacy experience.
  • Stock control: Competence in pharmacy stock control.
  • Cold-chain: Experience handling cold-chain medicines.
  • Hospital pharmacy: Experience within hospital pharmacy stores.
