What you will do

  • Manage a reduced caseload of highly complex cases requiring advanced assessment, risk management, and intervention planning.
  • Provide professional advice, guidance, and reflective supervision to Social Workers, ASYE practitioners, and wider multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead on safeguarding enquiries, investigations, and risk assessments in accordance with statutory requirements and local procedures.
  • Support the Team Manager with practice development, performance monitoring, and quality assurance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Equality Act 2010, and associated statutory guidance.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Practice Educator qualification or willingness to work towards this.
  • Evidence of relevant post-qualifying professional development.

Registration & Compliance

  • Current registration with Social Work England.

Experience

  • Significant post-qualification experience within a UK local authority, NHS-integrated service, or regulated social care environment.
  • Experience managing highly complex and high-risk cases.
