What you will do:
- Conduct comprehensive physical health, mental health, and substance misuse assessments for individuals accessing the service.
- Deliver clinical interventions for drug and alcohol dependency, including opiate substitution treatment, alcohol care pathways, and community detoxification programmes.
- Provide harm reduction advice, safer injecting guidance, and overdose prevention interventions, including Naloxone training and distribution.
- Administer blood borne virus (BBV) screening, Hepatitis A/B vaccinations, and engage in health promotion and public health initiatives.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disability Nursing).
- Current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration with active PIN.
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to substance misuse, public health, or community nursing.
Registration & Compliance:
- Current NMC registration.
Experience:
- Experience working within drug and alcohol services, community healthcare, mental health services, or public health settings.
