What you will do
- Manage a caseload typically ranging from 20 to 24 cases, incorporating a mix of complex Child in Need, Child Protection, and assessments.
- Conduct assessments and provide robust support to foster carers and children, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Engage with colleagues, foster carers, and agencies to ensure collaborative working in safeguarding children.
- Remain on duty for one full week every three weeks, handling urgent cases and being available for crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries.
- Participate in fortnightly supervision sessions, contributing to team development and personal professional growth.
Additional Role Information
Travel requirements:
You must be prepared to consistently travel within Torbay and occasionally out of county to visit children placed externally.
Remote working arrangements:
While remote work is indeed permitted, office attendance is expected up to three times per week, with full-time presence necessary during duty weeks.
