What you will do:
- Provide strategic and professional leadership across pharmacy services and medicines governance throughout NHS Western Isles.
- Act as the Board’s Chief Pharmacist, providing expert advice on medicines, pharmaceutical services, and related clinical matters.
- Lead the development and implementation of the pharmaceutical care strategy in line with national standards, legislation, and best practice.
- Ensure compliance with medicines-related regulations and lead initiatives designed to improve medication safety and quality.
- Drive digital medicines programmes, including the adoption, optimisation, and effective use of ePrescribing and HEPMA systems.
- Manage pharmacy budgets, resources, and procurement effectively while maintaining strong governance arrangements.
- Develop an innovative, compassionate, and high-performing pharmacy workforce focused on clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated and efficient pharmaceutical services.
- Promote a culture of quality improvement, innovation, patient safety, and professional accountability across the pharmacy service.
