What you will do
- Lead the development of the child protection team by mentoring and supporting staff, promoting good practice through training sessions and workshops.
- Manage a diverse and complex caseload, conducting in-depth assessments, designing safety plans, and ensuring the welfare and protection of the children under your care.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and actively participate in child protection investigations, as well as court proceedings when necessary, always working within legal and policy frameworks.
- Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, other agencies, and community networks to coordinate services and ensure culturally sensitive and appropriate care for all children, especially those from marginalised backgrounds.
