What you will do
- Support the dispensary with ordering, receiving, dispensing, and checking medication for wards and departments.
- Travel to various wards and units across Hertfordshire, providing crucial pharmacy services.
- Conduct medicines reconciliations to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Assess patients’ own drugs and transcribe for supply, enhancing their treatment plans.
- Provide clear and compassionate counselling to patients regarding their medications.
- Participate in pharmacy-related audits, stock reviews, and service development.
- Utilize your experience to train and manage staff.
- Work effectively in a hospital setting, particularly within mental health environments, utilizing the EMIS Ascribe Pharmacy Dispensing System.
Requirements
- Qualified pharmacy technician with a minimum of two years of experience.
- Experience working in a hospital setting, particularly within mental health environments.
- Experience using the EMIS Ascribe Pharmacy Dispensing System.
