Occupational Therapist – Adult Social Care Team
Exciting locum role for an Occupational Therapist specialising in Adult Social Care in Solihull, West Midlands, UK, offering an impressive hourly rate of up to £28.40. This full-time position runs for 3 months from 7th September 2026 to 27th November 2026, with working hours from 9:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (37 hours of work per week). We require professionals with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in the field.
Applicants must be qualified Occupational Therapists, HCPC registered, with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in Adult Social Care and reablement.

What you will do:
- Conduct detailed assessments within Adult Social Care, tailoring your approach to each individual’s needs
- Oversee a caseload involving adults requiring equipment, adaptation, and moving and handling support
- Deliver reablement-focused strategies to aid service user independence
- Engage in reviews aimed at reducing care packages through strategic DHC to SHC evaluations
- Recommend equipment and create adaptation solutions customized for each user’s living environment
- Partner closely with care coordinators, service users, and families to devise strengths-based, person-centred care plans
- Ensure the highest standards of safety through comprehensive moving and handling assessments, implementing safe practices
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies to deliver holistic care
- Maintain precise and thorough case records and reports
