What you will do:
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need assessments, and Section 47 child protection enquiries within statutory timescales.
- Manage a complex caseload, assessing risk and identifying appropriate interventions to safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
- Develop outcome-focused plans in partnership with children, families, carers, and key stakeholders.
- Lead and participate in strategy discussions, child protection conferences, core groups, and multi-agency meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a Degree in Social Work, BA (Hons) Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Completed the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) where applicable.
- Show evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Maintain current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
- Possess post-qualification experience within Children’s Social Care, particularly in Duty, Assessment, Front Door, or Referral & Assessment services.
- Experienced in conducting Section 17 and Section 47 assessments.
