What you will do:

  • Actively participate in a multidisciplinary team, motivating service users to engage with their care pathways.
  • Oversee the implementation of individual treatment plans, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of occupational therapy services.
  • Maintain meticulous records detailing patient rehabilitation and track progress to inform ongoing care and treatment.
  • Lead and mentor more junior staff, focusing on their development and the quality of care provided.
  • Respond promptly to referrals, conduct comprehensive patient assessments, and plan suitable individual or group interventions.
  • Facilitate the development of vital life skills, rehabilitation efforts, and therapeutic educational opportunities.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Occupational Therapy Qualification: Qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with over three years of post-qualification experience.
  • Risk Assessment Expertise: Proven ability to employ psychometrics and risk assessment tools to deliver tailored care.
  • Therapeutic Skills: Strong therapeutic engagement skills to help patients develop insight and manage complex needs.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience supervising and leading junior team members.
  • Driving Licence: Possession of a full, clean UK driving licence.
