What you will do:
- Lead, manage, and supervise a Children In Need and Child Protection Team, ensuring effective workload allocation and delivery of statutory services.
- Provide reflective supervision, performance management, coaching, and professional development to social work staff.
- Oversee decision‑making on complex safeguarding cases, Child Protection Plans, Section 47 enquiries, and Children In Need assessments.
- Monitor case progression, ensuring compliance with statutory timescales, local safeguarding procedures, and performance indicators.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Evidence of management or leadership training is desirable.
Experience:
- Significant post-qualification experience within frontline Children's Social Care.
- Proven experience managing or supervising social workers within Children in Need, Child Protection, Safeguarding, or Court Teams.
