What you will do:
- Manage a complex caseload of patients, undertaking advanced physiotherapy assessments and crafting effective treatment plans to optimise patient mobility and function.
- Provide early rehabilitation interventions within acute medicine to prevent deconditioning and support safe discharge planning.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, contributing to decision-making around patient flow, discharge pathways, and ongoing care needs.
- Conduct respiratory, neurological and mobility assessments as appropriate, adapting interventions to meet individual patient needs.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy with evidence of post-graduate professional development relevant to acute care.
Registration and Compliance:
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience:
- Post-registration experience within an acute hospital or rehabilitation setting.
- Experience in managing patients with complex medical conditions and supervising junior staff or students.
- Involvement in audit, service development, or quality improvement work.
