What you will do

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify strengths, needs, and support requirements.
  • Complete kinship assessments and contribute to permanency planning for children.
  • Develop, implement, and review tailored support plans for kinship carers and children.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, partner agencies, and multidisciplinary professionals to provide coordinated support.
  • Offer expert guidance, advice, and practical support to kinship carers, helping them navigate complex situations.
  • Advocate for children and ensure their wishes, feelings, and lived experiences remain central to decision-making.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, assessments, and documentation in line with statutory requirements.
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice relating to children’s social care and kinship arrangements.
  • Contribute to safeguarding processes and ensure children remain safe and supported within their family networks.
