What you will do
- Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify strengths, needs, and support requirements.
- Complete kinship assessments and contribute to permanency planning for children.
- Develop, implement, and review tailored support plans for kinship carers and children.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, partner agencies, and multidisciplinary professionals to provide coordinated support.
- Offer expert guidance, advice, and practical support to kinship carers, helping them navigate complex situations.
- Advocate for children and ensure their wishes, feelings, and lived experiences remain central to decision-making.
- Prepare high-quality reports, assessments, and documentation in line with statutory requirements.
- Stay up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice relating to children’s social care and kinship arrangements.
- Contribute to safeguarding processes and ensure children remain safe and supported within their family networks.
