Social Worker - Adults Multi-Disciplinary Team

This is an exciting opportunity to embark on an adventure as a Recovery Worker within the Substance Misuse field, right in the heart of Crewe. With an hourly rate of £22.00, you’ll be immersed in a supportive work environment while making a real impact on people’s lives. The role is a 3 month full-time position, running from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, providing a perfect work-life balance.

What you will do

  • Support service users from referral and assessment through their treatment and recovery journey.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, recovery planning, and regular reviews to ensure the best outcomes for service users.
  • Deliver harm reduction interventions to reduce drug and alcohol-related risks and improve health outcomes.
  • Facilitate structured group sessions, recovery programmes, and psychosocial interventions to support and guide service users on their path to recovery.

Person Specification

  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care, Substance Misuse, Counselling, Community Work, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant recovery, motivational interviewing, safeguarding, or substance misuse training is desirable.
  • Experience supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse, mental health challenges, offending behaviour, homelessness, or social exclusion.
  • Experience managing a caseload within a health, social care, charity, or community-based setting.
