What you will do:
- Independently chair Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences in accordance with the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and London Child Protection Procedures.
- Facilitate effective multi-agency decision-making and ensure Child Protection Plans are outcome-focused, proportionate, and child-centred.
- Ensure the active participation of children, young people, parents, carers, and wider family networks within safeguarding processes.
- Provide professional challenge where safeguarding practice, statutory compliance, or service delivery standards fall below expectations.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised social work qualification.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development CPD.
Experience:
- Significant post-qualification experience within Children’s Social Care.
- Experience chairing Child Protection Conferences or other statutory safeguarding forums.
