What you will do:

  • Provide high-quality assessment and care management services to children and families requiring ongoing social services intervention.
  • Assess needs in line with Directorate policies, procedures, and relevant assessment frameworks like Working Together to Safeguard Children, and other national protocols.
  • Develop effective, outcome-focused intervention plans in consultation with children, young people, and their carers to safeguard welfare, address risk, and ensure proper implementation and review.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records according to Directorate policy.
  • Review interventions within statutory guidelines to ensure plans achieve identified outcomes.
  • Identify unmet needs during assessments and communicate these to managers within Children’s Services.
  • Assist in data collection by completing administrative processes on time.
  • Demonstrate professional competence in social work practice.
  • Attend training for skill enhancement and personal development.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and provide written or verbal reports as needed.
  • Collaborate and work jointly with staff of other Directorates and agencies where appropriate to ensure all work aligns with statutory requirements and policies.
