What you will do:
- Lead and manage your team of enthusiastic social workers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and reflective practice.
- Introduce, embed, and consistently enhance the quality of social work at the team level, aligning with established models of excellence.
- Provide expert professional advice to your team, colleagues, and partners within your area of responsibility.
- Ensure children's assessments and plans are robust, evidence-based, and completed promptly to safeguard children effectively with a focus on positive outcomes.
- Allocate cases efficiently by matching the complexity and risk of cases with the skills and experience of social workers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage team performance, inspiring staff to excel in their roles.
- Ensure the continual improvement and quality of social work practice is maintained.
- Provide professional advice and allocate cases effectively for positive outcomes.
- Proven experience in managing and/or supervising child care social workers with demonstrated results of successful practices and good outcomes for children.
- Experience in delivering reflective supervision that positively impacts practice and results.
Special conditions:
- Ability to work beyond regular office hours when necessary.
- Registration as a social worker with the HCPC.
- Enhanced DBS disclosure required prior to employment and every three years thereafter.
