Role Purpose
To provide clinical interventions, health assessments, and support for children with complex health needs in school settings, promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing while ensuring compliance with safeguarding and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical interventions and health assessments to support children’s wellbeing
- Conduct health screenings and implement national public health guidance within school environments
- Address safeguarding concerns professionally and participate in multi-agency meetings when required
- Mentor Band 5 School Nurses and students, fostering learning and professional growth
- Collaborate with schools, health professionals, and social services to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate records in line with NHS and Trust governance standards
Qualifications
- Experience in paediatric and community health nursing
- Competence in enteral feeding, medication administration, safeguarding, care planning, and epilepsy management
- Ability to work flexible shifts (08:00–16:00, 08:30–16:30, 09:00–17:00)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
