What you will do:

  • Independently manage a complex caseload by conducting advanced occupational therapy assessments and creating tailored rehabilitation plans.
  • Utilise your clinical reasoning skills to develop, implement, and evaluate individualised treatment programmes that maximise patient independence and functional outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, playing a key role in discharge planning and ensuring safe and effective transitions of care.
  • Provide specialist advice and education to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals regarding functional ability, equipment, and rehabilitation.

Person Specification

  • Qualifications:
    • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
    • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
    • Evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
  • Experience:
    • Post-qualification experience within an acute hospital or rehabilitation setting
    • Experience managing a varied caseload with complex conditions
    • Experience of supervising junior staff or students
    • Involvement in audit, service improvement, or pathway development initiatives
