What you will do
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of prospective adopters, completing Prospective Adopter Reports (PARs) and statutory documentation.
- Conduct home visits, interviews, and analysis to determine suitability for adoption approval.
- Prepare and present adopter assessment reports to the Adoption Panel and Agency Decision Makers.
- Lead family finding activities for children with adoption plans, identifying and evaluating suitable adoptive families.
- Prepare matching reports and adoption placement documentation in line with statutory timescales and regulatory requirements.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised professional qualification.
- Registration with Social Care Wales.
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Experience
- Post-qualification experience within children's social care.
- Previous experience completing adoption assessments and adopter approvals.
- Experience in family finding, matching, and permanence planning.
