Sanctuary Personnel is offering a permanent position for a Team Manager within the Child Protection Assessment Team in Redbridge. Salary up to £59,313 per annum.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop services supporting the Children & Families Service in delivering and improving services to children and families.
  • Undertake policy work, manage local delivery and commissioning of services.
  • Oversee local service development projects, maintaining project timescales.
  • Develop and maintain liaison and cooperation with the local community, community groups, other agencies and non‑statutory organisations.
  • Prepare and present complex reports for public law child care court proceedings and oversee their production to a high standard.
  • Prepare and write complex reports and briefing notes on operational issues for the Head of Service, task forces, external meetings, council committees and partnership boards.
  • Ensure decision making complies with legislation, local procedures and best practice.
  • Manage a multi‑disciplinary staff team, ensuring high quality service delivery across all disciplines.
  • Implement performance management procedures to develop individual performance plans that reflect Children & Families Service priorities.
  • Manage health and safety, including safety systems, risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Lead to ensure effective service delivery and meeting agreed performance targets.
  • Provide cover for the Head of Service in absence, support Emergency Duty Team, community and residential services outside normal office hours.
  • Develop and maintain a positive culture for multi‑disciplinary working and service user involvement.

Qualifications

  • A Social Work Degree or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time‑keeping skills.
