What you will do:
- Perform high-quality mammography examinations for various patient groups, including symptomatic, surveillance, and moderate-risk family history patients
- Conduct NHS Breast Screening Programme mammography clinics, adhering to programme standards and guidelines
- Engage in image assessment and quality assurance activities to ensure optimal imaging outcomes
- Utilise PACS, Radiology Information Systems, and NBSS systems for efficient workflow and accurate documentation
- Provide support and guidance to trainee mammographers and assistant practitioners
- Participate in audit, research, and service development activities to advance mammography services
- Maintain accurate imaging records and documentation with attention to detail
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography with HCPC registration, along with a Postgraduate Award in Mammography
- Band 6 Mammography experience with a strong understanding of screening and symptomatic mammography procedures
- Knowledge of NHS Breast Screening Programme standards and IR(ME)R regulations
- Proficiency in using PACS and Radiology Information Systems
- Strong communication and patient care skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Full driving licence with business use insurance and access to a vehicle
- Experience with extended clinical roles and management training
- Experience in supervising trainees and assistant practitioners, as well as participating in audit and research activities
