What you will do:

• – Assess and treat patients following upper and lower limb amputation




• – Deliver specialist amputee rehabilitation programmes




• – Assess mobility, transfers, and functional independence




• – Support prosthetic rehabilitation and gait re-education




• – Develop individualised treatment plans and set rehabilitation goals




• – Review patient progress and adapt interventions accordingly




• – Provide education and advice to patients, families, and carers




• – Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams




• – Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation




• – Support safe discharge planning and ongoing rehabilitation pathways

Requirements:

• – Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy




• – HCPC registration




• – Experience as a Band 7 Physiotherapist




• – Specialist amputee rehabilitation experience




• – Competency in managing amputee caseloads independently




• – Expertise in gait re-education and mobility training




• – Experience working within multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams




• – Strong clinical assessment and reasoning skills




• – Excellent communication and organisational skills




• – Ability to work autonomously

Desirable Requirements:

• – Prosthetic rehabilitation experience




• – Neurological rehabilitation experience




• – Inpatient rehabilitation experience




• – Community rehabilitation experience
