What you will do
- Conduct thorough assessment, treatment, and management of adults with acquired speech, language, and communication needs, along with eating and drinking difficulties due to neurological or progressive conditions.
- Deliver specialist speech and language therapy within the Home 1st and Domiciliary SLT pathways, engaging with patients requiring urgent interventions.
- Effectively manage referrals, prioritise cases, and maintain a clear waiting list within the Home 1st and Domiciliary pathways.
- Balance your time between managing a busy caseload and other key responsibilities.
- Provide vital triage, advice, and training to relatives, carers, non-specialists, and other professionals working with adults in various settings, including health and social care.
- Be a proactive member of the SLT team and collaborate effectively within the broader multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in service development initiatives and undertake duties as directed by the line manager for the smooth operation of the SLT Service.
