As part of your role in the Access & Duty Team, you will also respond to new concerns and assess risks to ensure prompt safeguarding actions. What you will do
Conduct thorough and timely reviews of children’s circumstances, plans, and outcomes, ensuring interventions remain effective and child-centred.
Engage directly with children, young people, and families to understand their needs and preferences, reflecting these in assessments and reviews.
Analyse and respond to changes in family circumstances, assessing risk and prioritising children’s welfare.
Participate in the Access & Duty response to new concerns, performing initial risk assessments and safeguarding interventions when necessary.
Work collaboratively with professionals across education, health, police, and other partner agencies to coordinate support.
Manage a caseload while maintaining accurate and robust records to support statutory responsibilities.
Develop and contribute to child protection plans, core groups, and multi-agency meetings.
Advocate for children’s rights and promote a strengths-based approach in all areas of practice.
