- Manage a complex caseload of children and families, delivering crucial assessments, support, and safeguarding interventions.
- Undertake Child and Family Assessments, handle Child in Need work, and initiate Section 47 child protection enquiries when necessary.
- Critically analyse risk, protective factors, and immediate needs to make informed, timely decisions that best support the child and their family.
- Work collaboratively with partners in Early Help, Health, Education, Police, and the voluntary sector to develop coordinated and effective support plans.
Person Specification:
- Qualifications: Degree in Social Work or a recognised equivalent qualification. Current registration with Social Work England. Evidence of continuing professional development, specifically regarding safeguarding children and family support services, is essential.
- Registration & Compliance: Must be registered with Social Work England.
Experience:
- Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care is required. Proven experience in areas such as Assessment, First Response, MASH, Family Support, or Early Intervention services will be advantageous.
