What you will do
- Chair statutory Looked After Children Reviews in accordance with the Children Act 1989, Care Planning Regulations, and the IRO Handbook.
- Monitor care plans to ensure they remain appropriate, outcome-focused and responsive to the child’s changing needs.
- Ensure children and young people actively participate in reviews and that their views, wishes and feelings influence care planning.
- Provide constructive challenge and accelerate concerns where delay, drift or deficits in service provision adversely impact children.
- Promote effective permanence planning, safeguarding arrangements, and stability for children in care and care leavers.
Person Specification
- Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW or recognised equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Evidence of continued professional development relevant to children’s social care.
- Significant post-qualifying experience within Children’s Social Care.
- Previous experience working with looked after children, safeguarding, and care planning.
