What you will do
- Undertake comprehensive Child and Family Assessments in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children guidance.
- Manage a complex caseload involving Child in Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline (PLO), and pre-proceedings work.
- Analyse risk, make evidence-based recommendations, and implement safeguarding plans to protect children from harm.
- Lead effective multi-agency working with education, health, police, early help, and voluntary sector partners.
Person Specification / Qualifications
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Social Work.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to children's social care.
Registration & Compliance
Registered with Social Work England and eligible to practise in the UK. Sound knowledge of: Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Public Law Outline (PLO), Human Rights Act 1998, Equality Act 2010, Local safeguarding partnership procedures.
Experience
- Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Services.
- Proven experience within Duty & Assessment, Safeguarding, Front Door, or Child Protection services.
- Experience managing complex cases involving Child Protection, Child in Need, PLO, and Public Law proceedings.
