We have an opportunity for an Assistant Regional Operations Manager to join our Property Services team based in Canterbury. The role will provide direct support to the Regional Operations Manager as part of the Planned team, covering the South East region.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the senior management team with process improvements by creating an innovative environment for operational staff
- Monitoring progress of customer repairs and complaints to ensure optimum performance
- Managing the recruitment, performance and development of quality employees
- Monitoring, managing and completing all customer works through self-delivery teams, suppliers and subcontractors
- Supporting the management of health and safety aspects of operations, ensuring business responsibilities are delivered safely
- Supporting senior management with regional issues and escalation processes, ensuring effective and timely resolution
- Working closely with the Housing and Property Services teams to ensure continual improvement of business processes and procedures
Qualifications
- Qualified to Degree, HND or HNC in Construction or Management level and hold or currently undertaking the NEBOSH National Diploma – Construction
- Experience managing multi-site maintenance contracts in a commercially focused role
- Proven ability to effectively recruit, manage and develop people
- Proven track record managing a direct labour operation or internal maintenance service
- Experience delivering services within budget (desirable)
- Must hold a full valid UK driving licence and be able to drive a company vehicle
- Must bring original certification of qualifications to interview (copies not accepted, no CSCS cards)

Salary: £47,169 per annum (rising to £49,652 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance). A company car is provided. Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 16:30pm.
