The role of Housing Officer will include:

  • Working closely with the lettings team in allocating Voids, Tenancy Sign Ups and Viewings.
  • Liaising with tenancy enforcement agencies to build relevant case files and manage the complaint process for the service area.
  • Handling a range of situations including complex cases of ASB (anti-social behaviour), which may include attending evictions and multi-agency crime prevention meetings.
  • Attending various meetings to coordinate tenancy termination and changes, property clearance, and support tenancy auditing and fraud investigations.
  • Providing advice and support to residents through regular community engagement and signposting to relevant third party agencies.

Skills and experiences:

  • Recent experience undertaking a similar role and a passion for supporting tenancy sustainment and working with vulnerable people.
  • Knowledge of relevant housing regulations and legislation.
  • An understanding of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience and knowledge of good practice resident involvement activities.
  • Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential.
