£27,521 per year (pro rata) 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Temporary position for up to 9 months.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our Housing Litigation team which is part of a wider Legal Services team. The Housing Litigation team comprises 7 - 10 members and is expanding to provide more legal support to the business. The team manages tenant related issues including housing disrepair claims.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate an effective legal administration service to include raising payment requests, preparing files and instructions for Costs Draftsman.
- Monitoring works post settlement ensuring all records of transactions and related activity are maintained accurately to demonstrate corporate compliance.
- Process new Disrepairs claims to include the opening and closing of files.
- Monitoring of the teams shared inbox.
- Maintain accurate, accessible and up-to-date data on disrepair claims and related KPIs for auditing and provide reports for management.
- Obtaining and analysing records from databases and individuals and co-ordinating the redaction of the same.
- Proven experience within a similar administrative role is essential.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and being able to prioritise workloads is essential.
- Outstanding communication and customer care skills.
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
