We have a great opportunity for a Utility Officer to join our Utility team based in Worcester, which consists of 10 members of staff. For this role you will be expected to deliver, maintain and improve effective and efficient energy services in line with departmental and organisational needs. The Utility Team sits in the Strategy and Strategic Assets Department and manages the Group utilities, voids, meters, contracts and queries as well as the carbon efficiency of the Group's portfolio.
In this role you will be supporting the validation of utility invoices across Sanctuary's portfolio and be the first point of contact for utility-related queries from across the Group, 3rd parties and suppliers.
The role of Energy Officer will include:
- Responding to utility queries ensuring that an efficient service is provided at all times.
- Supporting the delivery of effective and efficient utility projects including implementing and supporting new administrative systems as required.
- Supporting the management and maintenance of relationships with internal and external customers by being a central point of contact for utilities related queries & programs.
- Maintaining utility data to enable the accurate recording and reporting of information for the Group, ensuring it is effectively analysed to draw meaningful conclusions as to how the cost and consumption may be reduced.
- Assisting with the delivery of projects designed to enhance the services provided by the Group, maximising utility validation.
- Occasional visits to the Worcester office for utility post processing.
Skills and experiences:
- Recent experience within a similar role where prioritising workloads is required to meet deadlines.
- Some experience of producing and analysing quality statistical information.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and general internet communications.
- A working knowledge of the utility industry is essential.
- Proven experience within an administrative or coordinator role is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
- An understanding of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).
- Excellent communication skills allowing you to be professional, friendly and assertive.
