We are seeking an experienced electrician to work with Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited, a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain electrical installations and replacements in tenanted and void properties, from simple light fittings or sockets to partial/full rewires and CCU upgrades.
- Inspect and test occupied and void properties to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
- Complete all paperwork and produce certification associated with the works undertaken.
- Monitor and maintain van stock, tools and equipment to achieve a first‑time fix and keep them in suitable condition.
- Assist and support the Home Office in preventing unlawful working; a basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.
- Drive company vehicle as required – must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid 18th Edition – 3rd and 4th amendment qualification, NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391‑52, AM2 or be currently undertaking the qualification.
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Ability to analyse and diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused approach.
- Full valid UK driving licence for company vehicle use.
