The position of Catering Assistant is referred to internally at Sanctuary as General Assistant - Catering.

Responsibilities:
  • Help to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards
  • Work with customers, families, advocates, and staff to ensure a high standard of services
  • Undertake general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas, and customers’ flats
  • Identify and report potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
  • Maintain stock levels, restock as required and ensure equipment is used in line with guidance notes
Skills and Experiences:
  • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
  • Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment
  • Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace
