We’re excited to welcome a General Assistant - Catering to support the preparation and serving of nutritious, well-presented meals at our Blackberry Court Retirement Community. Working as part of a friendly kitchen team, you’ll help create a positive dining experience for residents within a calm, well-organised environment.
You’ll be part of a compassionate, community-focused team supporting our retirement community residents, that puts people first – every single day. We’ll support you with the tools, training, and encouragement to reach your full potential, while celebrating your individuality and the difference you make every day.
Your role:
- Help prepare meals and drinks while following food hygiene standards
- Support customers and colleagues to deliver a high standard of service
- Keep kitchens, communal areas, and flats clean and tidy
- Report any faults or hazards to maintain a safe environment
- Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is used safely
Your skills:
- Experience with general cleaning duties (desirable)
- Some experience in a domestic or catering environment
- Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering, or willingness to work towards
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace
