£12.21 per hour, 15 hours per week.
Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Cleaner at our Retirement Communities service, Portland House in Stockport. We specialise in delivering a wide range of personalised housing, care, and support services to help people across England to live as independently as possible.
The position of Cleaner is referred to internally at Sanctuary as General Assistant – Cleaning.
Shifts:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 9.30 am to 2.30 pm (3 weeks)
- Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday - 9.30 am to 2.30 pm (1 week)
The role of Cleaner will include:
- Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas, offices, and the kitchen.
- Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard.
- Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment.
- Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes.
- Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards, and ensuring the needs of our customers are met.
- Ensuring customers’ privacy and dignity are maintained and respected.
Skills and experiences:
- Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable.
- Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment.
- Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
