The position of Catering Assistant is referred to internally at Sanctuary as General Assistant - Catering.
Responsibilities- Help to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards
- Work with customers, families, advocates, and staff to ensure a high standard of services
- Undertake general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, communal areas, and customers’ flats
- Identify and report potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
- Maintain stock levels, restock as required and ensure equipment is used in line with guidance notes
- Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
- Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment
- Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace
- At least 25 days paid holiday, rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service (plus public holidays) pro rata
