Sanctuary provide in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our team, working across the South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire areas. This role offers a mix of working independently and as part of a team, with a wide range of responsibilities. You will primarily be responsible for carrying out remedial and inspection works on occupied properties, as well as attending emergency breakdowns and service interruptions. A company van and power tools will be provided, and training will be offered as needed to support your development.
The role of Electrician includes:
- Responding promptly to emergency situations
- Inspecting and testing properties to ensure safety and compliance, and completing any necessary remedial work
- Completing all associated paperwork and producing certification for the works carried out
- Monitoring and maintaining appropriate levels of van stock, while ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in good working condition
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391‑52, AM2, 18th Edition – 3rd and 4th amendment or currently undertaking the qualification.
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
- Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer focused approach
This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
