Scheme ManagerTangmere Court – Manchester£25,374 per year (pro rata)37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.00pmTemporary position for up to 6 monthsWe have an opportunity for a Scheme Manager to join our team based in South Manchester, primarily Whalley Range and Chorlton areas with travel across the region to provide cover for other Scheme Managers. You will be responsible for providing a high quality housing management service which will include providing tenancy advice, following communal repairs and promoting independent living. This is a rewarding yet challenging role and is ideal for someone who has previous experience of working with older people in a housing management setting and is aware of safeguarding concerns.
The role of Scheme Manager will include:
Providing tenancy advice to residents
Promoting independent living and sign posting to appropriate agencies
Encouraging residents to organise and get involved in activities
Completing mandatory compliance tasks along with health and safety checks
Reporting and monitoring repairs to conclusion, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
Wellbeing calls to residents via warden call system
Supporting the lettings team to manage vacant flats
Providing cover at schemes in the region for other Scheme Managers
Managing low level anti‐social behaviour
Skills and experiences:
Numeracy and literacy to the equivalent of GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths
Some experience of working with older people and understanding their individual needs or similar
Ability to work alone and manage workloads to meet deadlines
Working knowledge of handling confidential and sensitive information
Good interpersonal and customer care skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
