Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a part time Cleaner at St Bartholomew’s Court, Playden. At Sanctuary Supported Living, we specialise in delivering a wide range of personalised housing, care, and support services to help people across England to live as independently as possible. We’re a national organisation, but we’re not-for-profit and we think locally by putting our customers at the heart of what we do.
The position of Cleaner is referred to internally at Sanctuary, as General Assistant - Cleaning. The role of Cleaner will include:
- Undertaking general duties as assigned, such as maintaining the cleanliness of all communal areas, offices, and the kitchen
- Ensuring all cleaning duties are completed to a high standard
- Identifying and reporting potential faults and hazards on site, to maintain a safe environment
- Maintaining stock levels, restocking as required and ensuring equipment is used in line with guidance notes
- Helping to prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards, and ensuring the needs of our customers are met
- Ensuring customers’ privacy and dignity are maintained and respected
Skills and experiences:
- Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable
- Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment
- Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willing to work towards
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace
