Gas Installation Engineer
£44,347 - £46,681 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm
We are looking for a qualified Gas Installation Engineer to join our team in Rochford, covering South Essex. You will work alone and as part of a team while completing a defined workload of installation jobs per day. You will assist with the servicing, maintenance and installation of gas boilers and heating systems.
The role of Gas Installation Engineer will include:
- Carrying out installation and commissioning of gas central heating systems
- Undertaking direct replacements of combination type central heating boilers and Open Vented/Sealed System to combination conversions
- Installation of radiators and associated pipework
- Some repairs and servicing
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS) or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
- The ability to work alone on a variety of different boiler types and systems
- Proven experience in installing and commissioning domestic gas boilers and central heating systems
- Working knowledge of the installation, servicing and maintenance of gas heating systems.
- Working knowledge of building regulations, particularly Part L Energy Efficiency
- Ability to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
- Have a proactive approach to health and safety, creating a safe environment for all
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

- £44,347 per annum (rising to £46,681 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
