Sanctuary provides in‑house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. This role sits within the South West Gas team, which consists of 24 gas engineers. The position will be based in Paignton and consists of three Gas Planners along with administration, a Gas Works Coordinator and four Managers. You will be working closely with other planners, administrators, and Gas Works Coordinators across the regional team.
As a Gas Planner, you will coordinate and schedule domestic gas work, ensuring engineers have efficient workloads and that customer appointments are managed effectively. You’ll also help ensure compliance within the planning process and contribute to ongoing improvements that support the department’s objectives and evolving domestic service requirements. By working collaboratively with both office and field colleagues, the role helps maintain consistent, high‑quality operational performance.
The role of Gas Planner will include:
- Deliver high‑quality, consistent services scheduling and programming gas servicing and repairs across the South West ensuring compliance targets are met.
- Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications, effectively communicating progress and outcomes to the customer.
- Manage relationships with internal and external customers, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and ensuring they are dealt with appropriately.
- Maintain effective filing systems, database records and processes that enable accurate recording and timely provision of information, ensuring they are as user friendly and accessible as possible.
- Assist in the production of quality statistical information on key performance indicators such as satisfaction levels and response times to assist managers in target setting, performance monitoring and implementing improvements.
Skills and experiences:
- Experience of using multiple systems and processes to effectively schedule a field workforce.
- Working knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation and good practice.
- NVQ2 in Customer Service or Business Administration (or similar).
- Ability to extract and interpret data from a number of sources.
