We have an exciting opportunity for a Scheme Manager to join our Housing Services team at a housing scheme for older persons. You will be part of a team of 3, responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service, which will include promoting independent living, providing tenancy advice and signposting to other agencies for support. This is a rewarding yet challenging role and is ideal for someone who has previous experience of working with older or vulnerable people in a housing management setting and is knowledgeable about safeguarding.
The role of Scheme Manager will include:
- Providing administrative support for the delivery of high quality and value for money housing services
- Assisting with part of the lettings process, including viewings, pre-void inspections and key management
- Conducting compliance checks and scheme inspections to ensure health and safety regulations are met
- Maintaining accurate records and managing extensive computer work efficiently
- Liaising with external organisations such as Care and Support Agencies and Adult Social Services concerning additional support requirements / safeguarding referrals
- Identifying and reporting potential repairs or faults at the scheme and monitoring them to completion
- Effectively managing low level anti-social behaviour, which may include gathering relevant information to support this and managing the complaint process for the service area
Previous experience working with older people or vulnerable client groups is essential, along with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to build strong relationships. Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is necessary, and a full, valid driving licence is essential due to travel requirements.
