We are looking for a Multi‑Trade Operative to join our Void team based in Stoke. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs to void properties, ranging from a leaking tap to changing baths, changing a door handle to hanging a new door. Ideally with Plumbing as your core trade. The team also carries out external repairs including fencing and groundworks. Responsibilities Attending void properties to carry out construction, diagnosing problems, fault fixing and maintenance duties required within a Social Housing environment. Taking ownership and resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed. Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed. Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer. Providing out‑of‑hours cover via a rota. Working both lone and on teams, and being required to be on an emergency call‑out rota. Using a company van and power tools for business use, with training provided as and when needed. Qualifications copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted. Recent experience undertaking a similar role within the social housing sector. Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks. Additional skills in joinery and plastering. Working knowledge of health and safety regulations and requirements. Full valid UK driving licence. Benefits 25 days annual leave plus public holidays.
