Sanctuary provide in-house repairs and maintenance services for an extensive portfolio of properties across Sanctuary organisations. We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Operations Responsive team, based in Ely. Within this role you will be covering all aspects of general building repairs and maintenance but mostly fitting kitchens and bathrooms and UPVC windows and doors, for both void and tenanted properties. The role is mainly lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as and when required. With a company van and tools included the roles will cover the East region.
The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:
- Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical). If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS).
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
- Skills in some of the following disciplines – Carpentry, Joinery, Plumbing, Kitchen and Bathroom installations is essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
