We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Multi‑Trade Operative specialising in wet trades to join our dedicated and newly established Rapid Response team in London. The role supports essential maintenance across our properties, delivering timely, high‑quality repairs with a strong focus on plastering, tiling, rendering, kitchen and bathroom fitting and other wet‑trades to keep our services safe, reliable and responsive for our customers.
Location: Hackney, London E9 – Working across London
Salary: £40,248 – £42,367 per year
Hours: 40 hours per week – 6‑day rolling rota, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Key Responsibilities- Attend occupied or void properties to carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties.
- Analyse and diagnose problems, implement effective solutions, and keep customers informed throughout.
- Maintain an appropriate van stock level and restock when required.
- Provide accurate and timely information on work progress in a customer‑friendly manner.
- Cover wet‑trade repairs across both void and tenanted properties within London.
- NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical, etc.) or, if Plumbing Level 3 is required, a Unvented‑G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). Original certification must be provided; copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
- Experience in analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
- Proficiency in wet‑trade disciplines.
- PC literate and able to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling.
- Full valid UK driving licence, as the role involves driving on company business.
