Based in Hackney, London, E9 – Working across London

£40,248 - £42,367 per year

40 hours per week – Shifts to be worked from 8:00am to 16:30pm over a 6 day rolling rota

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative specialising in plumbing to join our dedicated and newly established Rapid Response team in London. Supporting essential maintenance across our properties, you will play a vital role in delivering timely, high‑quality repairs with a strong focus on plumbing works including diagnostics, installations, maintenance and emergency response ensuring our services remain safe, reliable and responsive for our customers. Working in a fast‑paced environment, you’ll use your expertise to resolve issues quickly, keep customers informed, and help us continue providing homes people can rely on.

Within the role you will be covering all aspects of plumbing repairs to both void and tenanted properties. With a company van and tools included the role will cover areas in and around London.

The role of Multi-Trade Operative – Plumber will include:

  • Attending occupied or void properties to carry out plumbing repairs, fault fixing and maintenance duties
  • Resolving problems or setting into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

  • To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical). If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
  • Working experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Skills in the following discipline - Plumbing
  • PC literate and able to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
