We have an opportunity for a Data Quality Systems Specialist to join our team, based in Worcester. The main purpose of this role is to act as the technical specialist for the data governance and data quality platform, ensuring effective system configuration, optimisation, and integration to support the Group’s data strategy and data quality objectives.
The role of Data Quality Systems Specialist will include:
- Own the integrity, performance and ongoing development of the data quality system, ensuring it remains fit for purpose and aligned to business needs.
- Act as the data quality system Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical guidance and support to Data Quality Analysts, Data Owners and Data Stewards.
- Design and implement scalable data quality frameworks, ensuring alignment with data governance policies, standards and best practice.
- Attend the monthly Data Governance Forum, engaging with business leaders to ensure alignment and accountability for data.
- Support the delivery of a comprehensive communication plan to promote awareness and understanding of data governance principles across the Group.
Skills and experiences:
- Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification.
- DAMA certification (or Data Management industry equivalent).
- Proven experience of undertaking a similar role.
- Proven experience configuring and managing Data Governance applications such as Aperture Data Governance Studio.
- Working knowledge of Data Quality, Metadata, Master Data and Data Lifecycle Management.
- Proven experience configuring Data Quality rule logic and workflows.
- Experience of implementing projects in Agile / Scrum / DevOps methodologies.
